Across Sudan, thousands of schools have been damaged, closed, or rendered inaccessible. Millions of school-age children remain out of school, while countless university students have seen their studies interrupted due to displacement, loss of family income, insecurity, and the closure of educational institutions.

Children who entered the conflict at a very young age are now reaching school age having experienced years of instability, limited access to learning, and interrupted educational development.

Many university students have been forced to suspend their studies after losing financial support, being displaced from their homes, or facing the loss of parents and family providers during the conflict. Without targeted support, thousands of young people risk abandoning higher education altogether.
Education is essential for recovery, stability, and long-term development. Future Sudan was established to help address this challenge by supporting students, strengthening digital learning opportunities, empowering teachers, expanding access to educational resources, and helping learners continue their educational journey regardless of location or circumstance.
